Pavel Banya is one of the oldest spa resorts in Bulgaria !
It attracts visitors from the country and abroad with its curative mineral water springs, beautiful location in the centre of Bulgaria, as well as its rich natural and cultural heritage. It is situated in the middle of the picturesque Rose Valley and between the majestic mountains that surround it — the Stara Planina and the Sredna gora.
There are seven mineral springs known in Pavel Banya, used for centuries. They come with different temperature and flow rate, but have similar physic-chemical parameters and properties. Remains of an old bath building dating back to Roman times have been found in the area of the resort.
The mineral water is characterized as low mineralized, hydrocarbonate sodium, fluoric and silica. The high concentration of fluoride ions and metasilica acid are typical of the mineral water of all water sources. The temperature is between 25 ° C (Stublata) and 61,4 ° C (Kademliya).
Spa treatment and tourism
The spa resort is considered as a medical rehabilitation center for treatment of diseases of the musculoskeletal system, orthopedic-traumatic damages to the central and peripheral nervous system.
There is highest efficiency in rehabilitation of the vertebral diseases / disc hernias and others, damages to the intervertebral discs, radiculopathy, spondiololisteza, spondylarthrosis/. One can find successful recovery after traumatic injuries, slow healing bone fractures and surgery of the spinal cord.
Excellent results are achieved in the treatment of inflammatory diseases of peripheral nervous system /neuritis, plexitis, neuralgia/, also in some chronic gynecological diseases.

- Vascular lesions on the brain/post-insult/
- Epilepsy, tuberculosis, anemia, cirrhosis, severe diabetes, bleeding and more.
